Finding 3 Favorites
When perusing the storybooks of past students, I frantically searched for something that I knew ANYTHING about. Overwhelmed by the plethora of titles and links to past works, I honestly was just looking for something to latch on to long enough to understand what my project would look like. I, luckily, stumbled upon 3 storybooks which caught my attention rather quickly. I may not know mythology and folklore, but if there's two things I know like the back of my hand, it's housewives and summer camp.

The introduction of this storybook, created for a class in the past, is engaging and perfect for anyone who is interested in the drama which tends to follow housewives. By employing an almost advertisement-esque narrative, the blogger who created RHWOGM entices readers to go on to the first episode, "All is fair in love and war." The introduction renders readers aware of the major cast characters and inspires a curiosity about the inner workings of the circle of wives of Greek Mythology's elites. The design for this storybook is minimalist and very understated-which I love! I definitely want to keep my blog low key and relaxed versus overridden with extras which distract from content.
This storybook is written from the perspective of teenage gods who attend a summer camp together. The story is told through a series of diary or journal entries. The introduction isn't really my thing. It's written in a style that sound a little too much like a brochure, and that's not something I typically like. The concept of the diary entries is what caught my attention most. I love the idea of being able to follow the sons and daughters of gods through their teenage summer camp experience. I like the simple design on this storybook. As in the RHOGM, this storybook isn't overwhelming.
The Real Housewives of Happily Ever After is a storybook about the Disney Princesses who all found their "happy endings." The banner picture for this storybook is what caught my eye. It is a picture of two princesses holding drinks, and this is exactly what I imagine I'd want to be as a princess.

I love that this storybook brings super commonly-known characters to life in the style of the Real Housewives shows. It always catches my attention to add alcohol to the drama of the lives of the rich and famous.
